This gem is one of the "Mrs" favorites with its ultra feminine, charming aesthetics. The space is beautifully decorated with pink roses and sparkling chandeliers. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly and the food is incredibly good. The menu consist of traditional Mexican favorites like Tacos, Tostadas, Carne asada Burritos and more. The space is small and intimate, so go early if you'd like to dine in. Overall, it's a great dining experience with delicious food and friendly service.

If you love art, you will love this museum. The exhibits are masterfully displayed with details about the artist and their inspiration for their artwork. The statue garden is beautiful, with a calming waterfall and a carefully curated collection of breath taking artwork.

Definitely not your average coffee shop. The atmosphere is chill and laid back, with a horror and punk theme. Their menu has a great selection of specialty blends and classics like espresso, cold brews and iced lattes. Our favorites are The Bride, Peanut Butter Crunch, Dracula, Matcha, Cookies and Scream and their house brew. The service is good and the staff are friendly.

A cozy, little coffee shop and bakery nestled on one of the cities busiest streets. Once inside you will appreciate the cozy, charming atmosphere. They have a delightful selection of pastries and other baked goods and the coffee is top tier. The staff welcome you with a smile and offer great service. A lovely place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the shops warm ambiance.

A safe and welcoming space for the community to come together and honor the rich and vibrant culture of Black Americans. Honoring the lives and legacy of some of our cultures most influential people, from freedom fighters, freedom writers, educators, political leaders, healers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, inventors, musicians, entertainers, athletes and many others who helped shape and create one of the world's most influential cultures in human history. The cultural center offer master dance classes, virtual Pan African study groups, and rotating exhibits to keep visitors engaged and informed. Admission is free and all are welcome to explore and take in some of the elements and celebrate Black American culture.

A book lovers oasis. The atmosphere is inspiring, comfortable and airy. There's spacious seating and modern elements like updated computer stations, self checkout kiosks and interactive activities for kids. The selection of books is great with many new titles available. We love to visit this library to nurture our love for the literary arts and family time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

With its towering trees, lush greenery, freshly cut grass and rustling leaves. This park is a gem. Great for morning or afternoon walks, play dates with the kiddos or a quiet picnic under a tree. A peaceful escape from the city.

This park is quiet, well maintained and has lots to offer. It's family friendly with plenty of space for picnicking, gatherings and sporting events. There are two play areas, a large one for bigger kids and a smaller gated one for toddlers with seating for their parents or caregivers. There's a walking trail that goes in and around the park, allowing walkers or joggers to take in the clean, peaceful atmosphere of the park, with lots of trees that provide plenty of shade, making it one of our family favorites.

Family owned with a casual, diner like atmosphere. Their slogan is "Simply Good Food" and they live up to it with classic comfort food favorites like Chicken pot pie, Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes, Spaghetti and Meatballs and a traditional pancake breakfast that is simply delicious. The portions are big so bring a good appetite. The staff is friendly, it gets busy so expect a wait but it's well worth it. If you have room left try the Red Velvet Cake, you can thank us later, lol.

The atmosphere is warm, homey and inviting. They offer a wide variety of delicious southern style cuisine that's savory, succulent and perfectly seasoned. The desserts are delicious as well, the peach cobbler is in a class of its own. The staff is friendly and the service is good. We've enjoyed this restaurant for years, they never miss.

With a tranquil, serene, meditative atmosphere, this Japanese Garden is by far one of the most beautiful places to visit in our city. The garden has a colorful Koi pond, Zen Rock Garden, and a beautifully maintained landscape. Although the admission is free, visitors must make online reservations to enter the garden. There are strict photography rules so please visit their website and review their photography policy before visiting if you plan on taking photos.

Long Beach Museum of Art

With its stunning ocean views, modern and historic artwork, this has easily become one of our family's favorites. The museum is small but it's a mighty gem for museum enthusiasts. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island and The Queen Mary, making it a popular venue for weddings and other special events. If you plan to visit, be sure to check their website for closures due to private events.

One of the benefits of living in a major coastal city, is its beaches. Junipero Beach is one of our favorite beaches. You'll find the locals relaxing on the shoreline, little ones building sandcastles and collecting seashells, vendors selling their sweet treats or handmade jewelry. Morning walks along the boardwalk are our favorite. The sound of the crashing waves and salty sea breezes make for a invigorating sensory rich environment.

Sitting in the heart of downtown Long Beach, the Rainbow Lagoon Park is a beautiful, scenic oasis with its lush greenery, walking paths and pedestrian bridges. The park has Swan Boat rides for a romantic date or a family fun event. It's also close to Shoreline Village and the Pike. Definitely a family favorite.
